My collage

I need to start with some personal head shots, in black and white, so here they are.

They had to be of me smiling, because I don’t like serious pictures of me.  Although my husband thinks they look like they’re from the Brady Bunch!

After reading the next bit, I decided not to use these as they didn’t really look that good.

This is more ‘me’ they reflect my spin classes, bikes and music, which I love and other contents of my gym bag in the second picture, that I use a lot.

Next, I had a play with collage to see what I could come up with.

This is quite freaky to look at!  I removed my face and put my eyes and mouth back where they should be.

This collage is my attempt at Frida Kahlo!

I love this!  Its just me me me!  I had great fun putting this one together.

Lastly, I’m required to use stitching on my photos.

The first one I wasn’t happy with, as either the needle was too thick or the thread was too thin.  The needle holes looked too big, so I only did a little stitching on this one.  I was much happier with the second one, I used a slightly smaller needle and slightly thicker thread, which I think looks visually better.

Finally, a last collage cutting out sections of the face and placing patterns paper behind.
